ECSA 2024 Conference Workshop & Marketplace

GREENGAGE partners AIT, IBERCIVIS, KWMC and VRVis, in collaboration with sister projects CitiObs and UrbanReleaf, are excited to announce a dynamic and inclusive participatory workshop session aimed at fostering diversity and inclusivity within the field of Citizen Science. This workshop, structured around four thematic tables, will employ a participatory research approach to generate innovative ideas and actionable strategies for promoting inclusivity in citizen science initiatives. During the workshop, participants will engage in lively discussions and brainstorming activities, exploring various pathways to enhance diversity and inclusivity within citizen science projects. By leveraging the collective expertise and perspectives of diverse stakeholders, we aim to develop practical solutions and best practices that can be implemented across different contexts.

In addition to the workshop, we are thrilled to participate in the Marketplace event on April 6th, as part of Citizen Science Day at the Natural History Museum in Vienna. At the Marketplace, our team will engage with attendees to discuss pressing environmental issues and showcase interactive demonstrations of our state-of-the-art technological solutions. Through these activities, we hope to inspire dialogue, collaboration, and action towards creating a more inclusive and sustainable future through citizen science.
