SpliTech 2024 Conference

GREENGAGE partners DEUSTO, HOPU and VRVis will present the latest GREENGAGE technological achievements at the SpliTech 2024 Conference – International Conference on Smart and Sustainable Technologies. They will jointly participate in a Special Session that focuses on combining Citizen Science with emerging technologies to foster pro-environmental and healthier behavior.
The session will be chaired by the GREENGAGE partner DEUSTO. It aims to explore how the cutting-edge technologies in the transformative intersection of Citizen Science, Artificial Intelligence, data from space (such as Copernicus), and the Internet of Things (IoT) with low-cost sensors, can be leveraged to create communal smart environments that foster synergy among human and machine agents. The session aims to highlight experiences where people work alongside machines and other individuals in activities such as data collection (participatory/opportunistic sensing), modeling, hypothesis testing, analysis, and outreach.
The GREENGAGE project will be presented with three original contributions, emphasizing applications of crowd-sourced information driving environmental sustainability.
